Frequently Asked Questions -- watch for regular updates!)
Q: What time are weekend masses?
A: Saturdays at 4pm and Sundays at 9 & 11am
Q: When can I go to confession?
A: Every Saturday from 3 to 3:30 pm, by appointment with Fr. Doug or seasonally at Communal Penance Services, usually held in the evening.
Q: When is mass over?
A: The short answer is: It is over when the ministers leave. The more technical answer is that the mass ends with the dismissal of the presider and the response of the people. It usually includes words similar to: "Go in peace to love and serve our God" to which the assembly responds, "Thanks be to God". Good church etiquette, however, demands something more of us, and that is: just as we don't get up and leave a family meal without saying 'goodbye' so we don't leave our Eucharistic meal without saying 'goodbye' either. Mass isn't a private event between me and God. It is the public prayer of the church and we miss something if we do not acknowlege each other in that prayer.
Q: When is the Hunger Center open?
A: The Bountiful Basement is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am - Noon and on Wednesdays from 5 - 6:45pm. If you are completely homebound, you can call the rectory and we will have someone contact you to assist you.
